Campaign Update - Capitalist Free Market Britain?

Britain from my understanding is a capitalist liberal democracy, why would someone or a group of persons invest in acquiring the ex Camberwell Bingo Centre and willing to engage Camberwell community and the greater South London area to deliver a positive outcome for the greater need of the people of the community be met with oppositions from movement such as Camberwell Village Hall/Cinema bloggers and campaigners?

Hello Family

The continuous uproar from the Camberwell community and locales has made frontpage on the South London Press. Should it be a concern?

With the intentions and plans of the church for the community, no it isn't but we need to make our voice heard and reach out to them.

To this point, please follow the South London Press link below to get your votes out on the polls on that site and also tweet along with us, blog with us and facebook with us.

Dear Andrew,

Thank you for your email in support of the sale of the Gala Bingo Hall to the RCCG.

You may be interested to know that this wednesday, 3rd March at 7pm in the Town Hall (council chamber) the Camberwell Community Council will be discussing the matter.

I have to stress that as this is a private sale the Council cannot prevent it but it will need to secure planning permission. Therefore officers will be present to explain the process. As a member of the public you are invited to attend.

Best wishes,

Cllr Dora Dixon-Fyle
Chair, Camberwell Community Council, Labour Member for Camberwell Green
